FRANKLYN DAVEY & Co
Football Club Colours
Franklyn Davey & Co was one of the smaller Bristol tobacco companies who were taken over by the giant Imperial Tobacco Co. in 1901. Still trading under their original name they produced a set of 50 cards entitled “Football Club Colours” with the “Loadstone” Cigarettes brand. With the passage of time and increasing interest in Cartophily – or collecting cigarette cards as a hobby, many cards from the early 1900’s have rocketed in price.

Similar sets were issued by Ogdens Ltd (1906) and W.A. & A.C. Churchman (1909)
W.A & A.C. CHURCHMAN
