West Ham United U18s opened their Premier League South campaign with a harsh 3–1 defeat to Crystal Palace at Little Heath, undone by two late goals after a spirited, chance‑laden performance.
Palace struck inside five minutes, Anderson’s low cross leaving Ajean Greaves a simple tap‑in. The visitors kept pressing, forcing Goodger into a sharp save from Jayden Lloyd, but West Ham grew into the contest. Peychev and Longman combined neatly to free Frankie Day, before Kerr’s sharp dribble drew a foul in the box. He buried the penalty with calm precision to level the match.
Momentum swung West Ham’s way. Day went close after Peychev’s interception, Kerr danced through midfield to release Isaac Thomas, and Goodger punched clear a dangerous Fasida free‑kick as the half ended with the Hammers on top.
The second half was a grind. Palace came out aggressively, but Smith’s side defended with grit, blocking crosses and limiting clear chances. Goodger produced the save of the match, tipping Donte Martin’s drive onto the bar.
But with five minutes left, Palace broke through. Goodger made a double stop, only for Greaves to pounce and restore the lead. Chasing an equaliser deep into added time, West Ham were caught on the counter, Toby Williams looping in a long‑range third to seal the result.

West Ham United U18s claimed their first U18 Premier League South win of the season in style, roaring back from half-time disappointment to secure an emphatic 5-2 victory at Reading.
Luke Smith's young Hammers dominated the early exchanges, with Bailey Pammenter, Martin Peychev and Joel Kerr all going close as Reading goalkeeper Franky Rose was called into action repeatedly.
Despite West Ham's superiority, a frantic spell just before the break turned the game on its head. Dnayo Hunte bundled Reading ahead, only for first-year scholar Pammenter to level moments later with a fine finish after Harry Montague's long pass. The Royals quickly regained the lead, however, as Hunte converted from the penalty spot to send the hosts into the interval 2-1 up.
West Ham responded superbly. Within ten minutes of the restart they had scored three times to seize complete control. Christlife Mandungu struck twice in quick succession, first tapping in Josh Kerr's cross before profiting from a goalkeeping error after Pammenter had been fouled. Pammenter then grabbed his second of the afternoon, racing onto Reggie Morris' pass and finishing calmly.
Reading threatened a response, with Matthias Ojo rattling the crossbar, but the Hammers were not to be denied. Kerr capped an outstanding second-half display with a fine solo goal before Frankie Day went close to adding a sixth late on.

West Ham United U18s made a winning start to their U18 Premier League Cup campaign, overcoming Middlesbrough 2-1 at Rockliffe Park to take early control of Group H.
Luke Smith's youngsters struck inside two minutes when Jude Longman curled a superb 20-yard free-kick into the top corner after Frankie Day had been fouled on the edge of the box.
Middlesbrough responded positively and created several openings through Finlay Turner, Gabriel Taylor and Isaac Wager, but Tommy Goodger remained largely untroubled as the Hammers' defence stood firm.
West Ham doubled their advantage on the stroke of half-time. Zak Magowan's cross was only partially cleared and Martin Peychev reacted quickest, driving a shot through Joseph Richardson to give the visitors a valuable cushion.
The hosts emerged strongly after the break, forcing Goodger into action as their high press began to cause problems. Turner was denied by the Hammers goalkeeper before Eamonn Tohill reignited the contest with a determined solo run and low finish into the corner.
With Boro pushing for an equaliser, West Ham remained dangerous on the counter, Peychev and Magowan both going close, while Frankie Day fired over after good work from substitute Lenny Noble.
The decisive moment arrived in the closing stages when Billy Linacre's goal-bound effort looked destined for the top corner, only for Goodger to produce a superb fingertip save, preserving a hard-earned victory and three valuable points for the young Hammers.

West Ham United U18s extended their winning streak to three matches with a dramatic 5-4 victory over Brentford in a nine-goal thriller at Little Heath Sports Ground.
Luke Smith's side showed remarkable resilience to recover from a half-time deficit and eventually snatch all three points through Frankie Day's stoppage-time winner.
Brentford struck first when Jai Nwosu acrobatically converted Jovan Kasijja's cross, but Bailey Pammenter quickly levelled after being played in by Zak Magowan. The visitors regained the lead through Jai Bansoodeb and almost added a third before the break, although Glenn Macaj went close to equalising with a header that forced a fine save from Layton Nicholls.
West Ham turned the game around early in the second half. Joel Kerr converted from the penalty spot after Reggie Morris was fouled, before Pammenter reacted quickest to Christian Lila's saved effort to put the Hammers 3-2 ahead. Christlife Mandungu then rattled the crossbar as the hosts piled on the pressure.
The match swung again when Nwosu scored twice, both from passes by Enrique Roca, completing his hat-trick and restoring Brentford's advantage at 4-3. But West Ham refused to surrender. Mandungu raced onto Jude Longman's pass and fired home via the post to make it 4-4 before Day delivered the decisive blow in added time, rounding the goalkeeper and calmly slotting into an empty net to complete a memorable comeback victory.

West Ham United U18s fought back twice to earn a deserved 2-2 draw with AFC Bournemouth in the U18 Premier League South at the Cherries' Performance Centre.
The young Hammers made a difficult start when Joe Spence punished a loose ball on the edge of the area to fire Bournemouth ahead. The hosts threatened to extend their lead, but Tommy Goodger produced a fine save to deny Tom Robinson as West Ham weathered the pressure.
Luke Smith's side gradually found their rhythm. Bailey Pammenter went close after being sent through one-on-one, before West Ham drew level three minutes before half-time. Introduced early following Frankie Day's injury, Christian Lila collected Martin Peychev's pass, drove to the byline and squeezed home from a tight angle.
After Jude Longman had a powerful effort blocked early in the second half, Bournemouth regained the lead on the hour when Adrian Oluwande capitalised on defensive uncertainty to finish from close range.
West Ham refused to fold. Goodger kept his side in contention with another important save before sustained pressure finally told eight minutes from time. Longman's persistence forced an opening and Pammenter curled an excellent finish into the bottom corner. The visitors nearly snatched all three points late on, but had to settle for a hard-earned share of the spoils.

West Ham United U18s suffered a 4-0 defeat to Norwich City at Little Heath Sports Ground, despite producing a spirited display with a youthful side.
With several scholars involved at U21 level, Luke Smith fielded six first-year scholars from the start, and the young Hammers matched Norwich during an evenly contested opening period.
West Ham came close to taking the lead when Christlife Mandungu pounced on a loose ball, only to see Samuel Augusto acrobatically clear off the line. Mandungu later found the net, but his effort was ruled out for handball. At the other end, Tommy Goodger denied Kahlil Steele before Norwich eventually broke through, Jayden Munikwa reacting quickest after an initial save to bundle home from close range.
The Hammers emerged strongly after the interval and searched for an equaliser, but Norwich struck a decisive second on the hour when Steele's free-kick took a deflection and wrong-footed Goodger.
West Ham continued to battle, with Zak Magowan creating opportunities and the home side pressing for a route back into the contest. However, Norwich proved clinical late on. Goodger saved from Oliver Oldfield, but Hugo Collins was on hand to convert the rebound and make it 3-0.
Substitutes Chuk Obi and Jude Longman both tested Harry Derbyshire-Came as the Hammers refused to give in, while Martin Peychev also helped create further openings. But Collins had the final say, curling home a superb late effort to complete a 4-0 victory for the visitors.

West Ham United U18s climbed to sixth in the U18 Premier League South table with a clinical 3-0 victory over Birmingham City at the Knighthead Training and Academy Grounds.
After a closely fought and goalless first half, Luke Smith’s side took control after the interval, scoring three times in 13 minutes to secure their third league win of the season. Despite the statistics suggesting an even contest, West Ham proved far more ruthless in front of goal. Bulgaria U19 international Martin Peychev broke the deadlock on 61 minutes with a superb strike from outside the area that flew into the top corner.
The young Hammers doubled their advantage six minutes later when substitute Bailey Pammenter, fresh from his first Czechia U18 call-up, supplied Jude Longman, who finished confidently into the top corner.
Pammenter then claimed a second assist as West Ham struck again. His pass found fellow substitute Isaac Thomas, who made no mistake to put the result beyond doubt and complete an impressive second-half display.
Birmingham continued to battle, but the visitors remained in control as goalkeeper Shea Birmingham was repeatedly called into action to keep the scoreline respectable. The only blemish on an otherwise excellent afternoon arrived 12 minutes from time when goalscorer Thomas was shown a red card for violent conduct following an incident involving Isifu Drammeh.
Nevertheless, the young Hammers returned to east London with three valuable points, extending their strong start to the campaign and moving up to sixth place heading into the international break.

West Ham United U18s resumed their U18 Premier League Cup campaign with a hard-earned 1-1 draw against Norwich City at Little Heath, rescuing a deserved point through a spectacular late equaliser from substitute Dara Akinlolu.
After a goalless first half, both sides created openings, with Norwich threatening through Ollie Roberson and Henry Edwards, while West Ham responded as Zak Magowan, Ivanildo Batista and Reggie Morris helped carve out chances of their own. Despite the Hammers enjoying much of the attacking momentum, they were unable to find a breakthrough before the interval.
Luke Smith's side emerged strongly after the restart and came agonisingly close when Chuk Obi struck the post from close range. Immanuel Adisa, Martin Peychev and Lenny Noble all tested goalkeeper Harry Derbyshire-Came as West Ham continued to press.
Having somehow weathered the storm, Norwich struck against the run of play. Rupert Askham drove towards the edge of the area before unleashing an unstoppable effort into the top corner to give the visitors the lead.
The young Hammers refused to be deterred and their persistence was rewarded late on. A looping ball into the penalty area eventually found substitute Dara Akinlolu, who produced an acrobatic bicycle-kick finish to bring West Ham level in stunning fashion.
Akinlolu almost completed an extraordinary turnaround moments later, but after finding himself in space with the goalkeeper stranded, he slipped at the crucial moment and fired over, leaving the points shared after an entertaining contest.
