At Upton Park, where West Ham beat Tottenham Hotspur before 7,000 spectators by 2 goals to 0., theree was a regrettable incident. A. Fenwick, of the home team, being ordered off the field in the second half. The home side, however, merited their victory in a very interesting match, and their outstanding players were Caton, Stallard, Casey and Askew. There was no score in a fairly even first half, but 10 minutes after the interval Stallard netted for the home team and a little later added their second goal.
