The match took place at the Memorial Grounds before about 1,000 spectators. The senior team of both sides were engaged at Tottenham in the Southern League and, strange to say, the result was exactly the same, a draw 1-1, as the match under notice. The Spurs won the toss and Warner was soon prominent for the Spurs, but the home defence was fairly safe. The home forwards now had an attack of pressing, and Moles had all his work cut out to clear, but still the Hammers could not score. twenty five minutes from the start the Spurs' forwards went down in a body, Warner, sending in a hot shot, beat Biggar easily, thus giving the Spurs the lead, which they held till the finish of the first half.
Moles in the Spurs' goal, proved himself a very capable and reliable custodian, Stephenson and Watson were much better the the home backs. Chalmers and Quinn showed a capital understanding of each others methods and both scored in the second period.

Millwall Reserves scored a very fine victory by two goals to none. Almond beat Biggar in the first minute with a long shot and Jones followed up this success by a second after the interval. Ambler had little to do in the Millwall goal for Sutherland played a very fine back game.

The drawn London league game of 4 goals at Craven Cottage between Fulham and West Ham Reserves was unsatisfactory, at least to the home team. Fulham started away at a great pace. In fifteen minutes they scored through Cowan, from a pass by Meade, and then, Hopkinson smartly caught a rebound from Fair, the Hammers ' right back, after some pretty play by Tannahill. These points pulled the visitors together, and they were soon credited with a neat goal scored by Smith, from a badly taken effort of Graham's.
Soon Smith succeeded again, this time from a scrimmage, Parkinson, left-half, having just previously been carried off the field hurt. At this time there was plenty of life in the play, and in a few minutes. Hopkinson, with a terrific shot, hit the post. Sheeran nicely meeting the rebound and converting. Before the interval Fulham got another throught he same player, Hopkinson again being the intermediary.
In the second half Smith equalised with two fine goals. Fulham were most unfortunate, for, besides having two goals disallowed for offside in the first half, in the latter the referee disallowed three more. Much dissatisfaction was expressed by the home supporters when Biggar, saving a stiff shot, appeared at least from the Press-box, to carry his arms back behind the line, a point likewise disallowed.

At West Ham, Ambler kept goal in place of Sutcliffe for Millwall, and West Ham had rather a weak team. Campbell scored for West Ham from a penalty in the first half, but Storrier equalised also from a penalty after change of ends, and subsequently Davidson scored for West Ham and Morris for the 'Dockers'.

The engagement between these teams attracted a crowd of about 1000 to the Hare and Hounds enclosure in Lea Bridge-road on Saturday. The turf was la capital condition, and a fast and well-contested game ended in a victory for Leyton by two goals to nil. A late start was made, but West Ham United took the field with only nine men, and Leyton taking advantage of the wind and slope, they soon scored through the agency of Ford. The United were reinforced by a tenth man, but Leyton continued to force the game, and within twenty minutes Ford got through and scored a second point. The United team was afterwards completed, but, playing nicely combined game, Leyton continued to have the best of matters to the interval. There was no more scoring, however, Leyton crossing over with lead of two goals to none. Upon resuming, the United attacked vigorously for some minutes, and Archer at one stage saved three or four times in quick succession very smartly, once by just tipping the ball over the bar. During the last thirty minutes the play was of a more even character, and no further goal being scored, Leyton won good game as above stated.

Start delayed until 5:15 pm and consequently the final stages were played in darkness. This London League match attracted a considerable gathering, but a cross wind interfered with the game, and brilliant play was not possible. Both teams were well represented. West Ham led with a Barnes goal at the interval.
On resuming, play for a time fairly even, and twenty minutes elapsed before McGeorge equalised for Clapton by a fine shot. Orient's then bucked up, and put in some smart work but darkness was slowly setting in and despite the efforts of McGeorge, who was well met by the West Ham goalkeeper, nothing further was scored, and the match resulted in a draw.

The teams were very evenly matched, but the Hammers did not make the best of their opportunities, and easily lost out by bad shooting and whenever they sent a straight one in Hinkley in the Town's goal, who played a champion game, was always in the way. The Hammers' goal also had some narrow escapes, and once Coles was badly hurt in a melee but he was soon out again but did not have much to do, owing to the splendid work of Mapley and Fruin; and although they are only recent captures have the making of really class backs.
McAteer was easily the pick of the halves, and Bush in the front rank was the only man to show to advantage and several of his centres were missed owing to the forwards not being up. The Town were not at full strength, but they gave a most capable display for they are a team of triers. Marsh made a good pivot and he, with Worley were all good. Reader and Wright played well at back the latter being seen to as much advantage as when he was playing forward.
