Even play characterised the opening portion of this match at Millwall, but eventually Jones scored three goals for the home side, who held this advantage at half-time. In the second King conceded a penalty for handball and Jones scored from the resulting kick for the 4th goal, Frost and Squires each added a goal and Millwall won by six to nil.

It was a curious sort of game between West Ham United and Deptford in the London League. Four goals being scored in the first thirty minutes and the remaining time drawn a blank. The high wind that blew right across the ground caused the ball to play all manner of tricks, combination on both sides being at a discount. Yenson, Woods and Walker scored for West Ham, while Deptford's solitary point came from a mistake by Tranter. The two points will be very useful.

West Ham United reserves took up a good team to Kensal Rise, and with the Rangers well represented, a capital game was the result. Both teams were very strong in the attack, and the backs had plenty of work to do. West Ham, however, as the game wore on, gradually asserted their superiority, and scored twice to their opponents once, winning a hotly contested game by two goals to one. Ratcliffe and Yenson were the goal scorers for West Ham.

West Ham United Reserves gained an easy victory over Brentford; but inasmuch as the visitors only came with seven men, it was certainly before the ball was kicked.

This, the first of the holiday matches, drew a very fair attendance to the Memorial Grounds, Canning Town. Originally scheduled to take place on Christmas Day. The play was just discernible through the fog. Some very equal exchanges opened the game following which a rush through by West Ham ended in Corbett shooting a goal, but a little later Moffat equalised the point by a grand shot. Just prior to half-time Moffat again found the net by a brilliant shot, but this was given "off-side", about which there was considerable doubt. after change of ends the play was very equal, but there was to much long kicking, dribbling being the great exception, and five minutes to close Ratcliffe scored, and gave West Ham the game by two goals to one.

There was only moderate attendance at Canning Town for this match, which unfortunately could not be finished owing to the late arrival of the Visitors. Corbett proved to be in rare humour for West Ham, and put on all three points registered by his side, two coming in the first half without response. The second half was most keenly contested. Downing putting one for the visitors, while Corbett scored his third goal for the home side. When play was stopped West Ham were leading three goals to one due to bad light.
The result was later allowed to stand as Clapton arrived late for the kick-off.

This match, Canning Town, did not attract very large attendance, and the home side had very much the best of the game. The visitors, however, played a far more attractive game than might have beenanticipated and the 'Syphons" had all their work cut out to obtain the two goals, by which they led at the interval. Hitchens and Taylor being the scorers. In the second half the visitors gave occasional flashes of decent play, but were outclassed by West Ham, who at one time kept up a perfect bombardment, which kept Jones busily employed. Corbett came along with a couple points, and Walker notched another, so that the finish West Ham wore victorious five goals to love.

This London League match was decided at Clapton, West Ham being very strongly represented. After ten minutes play Reid scored for the Hammers, repeating the performance five minutes later. The Clapton attack was feeble, and the halves and backs had little difficulty in checking it. Beforre the interval Hitchens added another goal for West Ham, and in the second moiety further points were registered by Kaye and Reid 2, West Ham winning by six goals to nil.
At the conclusion of the game an additional 20 minutes was played to settle the unfinished Leage tie at the Memorial Grounds (unfinished through fog). Nothing further was added and West Ham thus won by the original score 3 goals to 1.

The two sides met at the Maze Hill enclosure and a capital game was seen. Strachan, the Deptford goalkeeper, was suffering from the effects of a recent injury, and was not at all up to his usual form, but despite this only allowed one shot pass him in the first half, a long, oblique drive from the right. The second half was equally well contested, and again the visitors scored the only point, this time from free-kick, well taken by Tranter, and pounced upon by a right-winger, who drove the ball home, while Strachen was vainly appealing for offside The game ended as indicated, in win for West Ham two goals to love.

These teams met at the Memorial Grounds, Canning: Town, when, although a start was not made until 5 o'clock, only a couple of hundred spectators lined the ropes when Read started the ball against the wind for the home team. During the initial half play ruled fast and slightly in favour of the visitors. Nothing, however, was scored, and such was the case until within quarter of an hour from the finish, when Read, taking a grand pass from Fenton, opened the scoring accurately, and immediately headed a second one from corner, with the result that the United won by two goals nil.
