Unnumbered series of 406 cards
Late in the 1907-08 season Taddy & Co. issued a second set of 406 cards, in this series also appeared with either ‘Grapnel’ or ‘Imperial’ versos but this time with a footnote at the bottom which gave details of their brand of ‘MYRTLE GROVE’ MEDIUM cigarettes
Series of 16 West Ham United cards
The 2nd Series of cards were the same as in 1906-07, minus Featherstone, Lindsay and Wildman which were not issued.
The four additional cards added, making a total of 16 cards.
W.D & H.O WILLS (India)
Football Club Colours
Unnumbered series of 50 cards issued in India
In September 1907 the Bristol based firm of W.D. & H.Wills produced cigarette brands for the overseas market. West Ham United were represented in the set entitled “Football Club Colours” with their ‘Scissors’ brand in India. These tasteful, coloured cards with red advertisement backs that claim ‘special Army quality’ the illustrations depict the 40 league sides of the era with 10 leading Southern League teams of which the Hammers were at that time.
