Rahim played at the University of Connecticut, and was drafted to Los Angeles Galaxy in the 2001 MLS SuperDraft. However, he rejected the transfer and signed for Joe Public in his home country. 
When he was 17 he had a spell with Newcastle United but couldn't get a work permit and had to go abroad. In 2001 he joined Bulgarian side Levski Sofia, making 14 appearances. He then had a short spell with West Ham United, joining on loan on 23 August 2002 until the end of December. 
After failing to make the breakthrough into West Ham's first team the Trinidad & Tobago international returned to Bulgaria after the Hammers opted not to seek a permanent deal when the transfer window opened January. Rehim left having played 9 Premier Reserve League matches, scoring 2 goals.
Levski Sofia promptly loaned the midfielder to Northampton Town where he netted once against Queens Park Rangers in early 2003. Later played for Falkirk, IF Sylvia (Sweden) and San Juan Jabloteh back in his home country Trinidad and Tobago.
