We had a home fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion Reserves on April 23. Somewhat surprisingly it was played on the originally-scheduled date, but in view of other matches taking place at Upton Park during that week it was decided to play the game at our Chadwell Heath Ground.
Unfortunately, a gale-force wind played a major part in the proceedings; it made cohesive movements more difficult than usual, and overall the contest suffered as a spectacle. We had our chances; but the visiting 'keeper was rarely in difficulties during the first half, and it was comparatively easier for him after the interval when his team had the wind at their backs. The nil-nil score preserved our recent run of success, and left us undefeated for the ninth successive time.
