1920-21 London Combination

With the end of the First World War and the return of the Football League programme of fixtures, the London Combination was now competed for by 'Reserve' teams.

Please Note:

The 1920/21 London Combination season, is one of a few campaigns in this decade where there is little information readily available regarding line-ups. The German V1 Rocket that fell on the Boleyn Ground in the Second World War destroyed all the club's paper records up to that point in time.

Numerous trips to the Newspaper Archives at the British Library have so far failed to add to the mystic for this season. If you can help with any line-ups or newspaper reports please get in touch using the 'Contact' button on the Home page.

Against the wind Hammers scored only once through Bailey. In the second half after Watson had scored and Bailey had added a penalty, Smith the West Ham inside-left got a hat-trick. The Hammers  now require one point to secure the Combination Championship.
