One of the most important leagues in the London District this season is the Premier Division of the London League. The meeting between the two well contested sides has always been an attractive match, and this one proved no exception to the rule, for nearly 3,000 spectators lined the enclosure.
As the players came onto the field, Millwall looked by far the stronger team, and fit for almost anything. Grassam is to be congratulated upon such a unique and rare feat as to shoot three goals in succession for his side, Out of West Ham's seven goals this year, he is credited with four of them.

The game was contested with much spirit, and in the end West Ham won on their merits by one goal to love. The point was obtained by Wallace early in the second half, when Ashcroft was at fault in leaving his goal and failing to get back in time. Throughout, West Ham proved themselves to be the better-balanced team, their forwards line being immeasurably superior to that of Arsenal.

Hammers good form was maintained with a visit to Millwall. In the opening minute Millwall were one-up through Watkins. Joyce saved a West Ham shot on the line and from the ensuing scrimmage a penalty was awarded to West Ham. Grassam scored. Linward put the visitors in front before half-time. In the second period Millwall surprisingly went to pieces Jenkinson from a corner made it 3-1. Jenkinson netted again from a corner but referee disallowed it. The hammers were all over Millwall at this stage. Grassam 4-1 and Dunn 'put thru' completed the West Ham scoring.
